Desde Curitiba, Terraplana vem quebrando padrões e trazendo um shoegaze com alma brasileira. Com um histórico que começou em 2017, entre EPs e singles que já mostravam um talento enorme, a banda agora lança Natural, seu segundo álbum de estúdio, e a sensação é clara: esse é um som que todo mundo deveria ouvir.

Nós do Divergent Beats estamos sempre à caça de novos sons brasileiros para levar à Europa, e desde o primeiro play de Natural pensamos: “isso aqui é música que transcende fronteiras”. O álbum nos lembra aquele underground de Camden Town em Londres, mas também a vibração intensa e experimental de Berlim — lugares onde a música é sentida, respirada, vivida. Cada faixa é uma viagem sonora, uma experiência que combina o coração pulsante do shoegaze com o frescor da cena independente brasileira.

Tudo em Natural é maravilhoso — as guitarras distorcidas e cristalinas, o baixo que pulsa como um batimento cardíaco, a voz etérea que corta e acaricia ao mesmo tempo, e as letras carregadas de emoção e imagens poderosas. Apesar de ter saído em março, para nós é endless, atemporal, um disco que vai permanecer para sempre na playlist do coração. Uma das faixas já faz parte da nossa Divergent Beats HUB-2 playlist, porque tinha aquela vibe essencial que precisávamos — mas o mais impressionante é perceber que sons assim existem no Brasil, um país conhecido por sua diversidade musical, mas que ainda guarda tesouros escondidos que só agora começam a ser descobertos fora de suas fronteiras. Descobrir Terraplana é uma daquelas experiências que faz você repensar como o indie brasileiro pode soar, e nos deixa completamente loucos aqui na Europa.

From Curitiba, Terraplana has been breaking molds and delivering Brazilian shoegaze with soul. With a history starting in 2017, through EPs and singles that already hinted at immense talent, the band now drops Natural, their second studio album, and the feeling is clear: this is music everyone needs to hear.

Here at Divergent Beats, we’re always hunting for new Brazilian sounds to share in Europe, and from the first play of Natural, we thought: “this is music that transcends borders.” The album reminds us of the underground scene of Camden Town in London, but also the raw, experimental energy of Berlin — places where music is felt, breathed, lived. Every track is a sonic journey, an experience blending the beating heart of shoegaze with the fresh spirit of the Brazilian indie scene.

Everything in Natural is breathtaking — distorted yet crystalline guitars, basslines that pulse like a heartbeat, ethereal vocals that cut and caress at the same time, and lyrics loaded with emotion and vivid imagery. Even though it dropped in March, for us it’s endless, timeless, a record that will forever remain in the playlist of the heart. One of the tracks is already part of our Divergent Beats HUB-2 playlist, because it carried that essential vibe we needed — but the most impressive thing is realizing that sounds like this exist in Brazil, a country famous for its musical diversity yet still hiding gems that are only now reaching beyond its borders.
