Não é só música: é uma viagem pelos cinco sentidos, um mergulho nas cores, nas emoções e na psique humana. Guioak nos mostra que o vermelho, o azul e o amarelo não são apenas cores, mas forças que nos conduzem por coragem, introspecção e liberdade. É um EP que redefine como podemos ouvir, ver, sentir e até tocar a música, e ele faz isso com uma autenticidade que é raridade em 2025.
E, para ir além do que já falamos, tivemos a oportunidade de entrevistá-lo. Conversamos sobre todo o processo por trás de Sinestesia Primária, sobre sua visão artística, as escolhas visuais e sonoras, e o que significa para ele transformar cores em som. Aqui estão as respostas de Guioak, direto do coração e da mente de um dos artistas mais instigantes da cena atual:
“Sinestesia Primária” mergulha o ouvinte em uma viagem sensorial guiada pelo vermelho, azul e amarelo. Como essas cores se tornaram a linguagem perfeita para traduzir suas emoções e estados de consciência em música?
Guioak: Acima de tudo, acredito que música é sobre sentir. Às vezes, não sabemos explicar o que e como isso acontece, como tentar explicar a alguém porque determinada cor é a nossa preferida. As cores são elementos muito conectados com o nosso cotidiano de uma forma que consegue ser óbvia e imperceptível ao mesmo tempo. Elas nos influenciam a todo tempo sem a gente perceber. Trazer a ideia de sinestesia para esse projeto foi uma forma que encontrei de homenagear essa sensibilidade que acontece nos detalhes e que sempre me inspirou para compor, não apenas de forma consciente, mas principalmente inconsciente.
Em “Perspectivas”, o vermelho representa coragem, amor e desejo. Até que ponto essa intensidade vem de experiências vividas e quanto é fruto da sua imaginação e experimentação sonora?
Guioak: Com certeza, “Perspectivas” é uma mistura dos dois, da experiência e da imaginação. Uma mistura tão conectada que eu não sei dizer onde uma começa e a outra termina, mas posso afirmar que nunca me “joguei do 18o andar”, como eu falo na letra hahaha.
A guitarra tem um papel fundamental durante todo o EP, muito do que eu trouxe nas letras foram respostas para as sensações que os acordes iam provocando em mim, às vezes nem racionalizando sobre o que exatamente eu estava escrevendo. Essa realização muitas vezes vinha depois, mas tudo o que eu vivi, ouvi e senti, não só durante o processo de produção da música e do EP, mas na minha vida, sinto que de alguma forma foi materializado nessa experimentação.
“Pulsões” nos leva ao diálogo interno, à introspecção e ao encontro com nosso próprio eu. Como você descreve a relação entre sua música e a exploração profunda da sua psique?
Guioak: Sinto que minha música é um reflexo fiel e direto da minha psique. Sou muito sincero sobre o que eu escrevo e encaro meu processo criativo como um rio, um grande fluxo de consciência da minha identidade pessoal e artística. Sou muito grato ao universo pois não costumo ter que lidar com muitos bloqueios criativos enquanto desenvolvo meus projetos, as ideias vêm com extrema naturalidade e eu sou apenas um canal para materializar elas. A música foi a forma que eu encontrei de fazer isso. Onde eu realmente consigo ser sincero comigo mesmo.
Com “Passagens” e o amarelo, seu EP alcança uma espécie de catarse emocional e liberdade interior. De que maneira os timbres da guitarra e sua sonoridade visceral ajudaram a transmitir essa sensação de emancipação?
Guioak: “Passagens” é pura entrega. É uma harmonia que eu compus na guitarra usando acordes mais abertos, com cordas soltas. Isso traz uma sensação de liberdade e de plenitude muito forte pra mim. Nessa faixa, eu também canto as notas mais agudas ao longo de todo o EP e claro, não posso esquecer dos gritos que eu faço ali no refrão final. Essa visceralidade está na ideia de ir até o nosso limite, onde ninguém nos segura, um ímpeto de ir de cabeça nos nossos sonhos. Sinto que eu me doei bastante nessa música, e, no meu caso, interpreto ela como uma espécie de carta de amor à música, em si.
Do minimalismo do seu primeiro EP, “Músicas em Preto & Branco”, à explosão cromática de “Sinestesia Primária”, vemos uma evolução clara. O que esse salto significa para você em termos de maturidade artística e consciência musical?
Guioak: Eu encaro esses dois projetos como uma antítese um do outro, começando pela própria capa. Um deles sendo eu de frente, preto e branco, embaçado, e o outro, uma foto de costas, colorida e nítida. Reforço aqui a ideia do inconsciente pois foi algo muito “sem querer”, só me dei conta quando estava prestes a lançar o projeto. Esses dois EPs, juntos, são a soma do que me define, do violão à guitarra, do minimalismo à explosão. É um constante processo de autoconhecimento. Uma das metas que eu tinha com esses dois trabalhos era justamente amadurecer o meu som. Mais do que acertar, eu estava completamente adepto à ideia de me “testar” para ter essa resposta. Sinto que estou pronto agora.
6. A sinestesia atravessa todo o EP como um fenômeno sensorial e filosófico. De que forma você deseja que os ouvintes experienciem suas músicas não apenas com os ouvidos, mas com todos os sentidos?
Guioak: Eu projetei esse trabalho para ele soar como uma verdadeira jornada, uma imersão na ideia da sinestesia. Eu valorizo muito o ato de dar play em um projeto e ouvir ele de uma vez só, do começo ao fim. Por mais diferente que as músicas soem entre elas, algo reforçado até pela inspiração em cada uma das diferentes cores, busquei trazer muita coesão na forma como elas conversam entre si.
Por mais que “Perspectivas” seja vermelho, “Pulsões” seja azul e “Passagens” seja amarelo, acho que nossos sentidos muitas vezes nos enganam, principalmente a visão, ao nos fazer enxergar coisas que não necessariamente sejam verdade ou que acreditamos que seja.
Gosto muito de ouvir música de olhos fechados, é uma forma de me conectarmos com meu íntimo e acessar lugares pouco explorados. É uma porta para eu perceber coisas que sempre estiveram lá, mas que não dei atenção. É uma porta pro inconsciente. Acho que é uma experiência que todo fã de música, em geral, adoraria fazer.
7. As colaborações com Joni e Glimpse trouxeram nuances de R&B e música eletrônica à sua estética alternativa. Como a experimentação sonora se tornou uma ferramenta para expressar sua verdade interior?
Guioak: Sempre é um desafio pra mim falar sobre minhas referências artísticas porque me considero um artista muito aberto a ouvir coisas novas e diferentes. Descobrir e apreciar um novo álbum é uma das coisas que eu mais amo na vida. Acho que ter trabalhado com o Joni e o Glimpse nesses primeiros dois EPs foi importante para eu me sentir à vontade para poder criar e entender quem é o Guioak sem qualquer tipo de barreira.
Todo o processo de concepção de “Sinestesia Primária” foi um grande laboratório que me fez entender onde eu devia seguir com a minha música e poder no fim me expressar em totalidade. O Guioak é uma grande mistura de tudo o que foi construído até esse momento.
8. Se pudesse deixar uma mensagem para os leitores da Divergent Beats sobre sua trajetória, seu EP e sua visão artística, qual seria o legado emocional e sensorial que você quer compartilhar?
Guioak: Numa época tão digitalizada como a que estamos vivendo, com tanta coisa acontecendo ao mesmo tempo, inclusive músicas incríveis sendo lançadas a todo instante, eu valorizo muito a ideia das pessoas não apenas ouvirem, mas escutarem e aproveitarem música. Sinto as pessoas cada vez mais apressadas para formar logo suas opiniões, um novo projeto sai à meia-noite de sexta e uma hora depois ele já foi rotulado como a melhor ou a pior coisa do mundo.
Acho que hoje em dia é fácil você se deparar com um ótimo álbum, mas deixar ele passar meio despercebido por você sem querer. Eu tenho o hábito de revisitar álbuns com frequência, é muito gostoso quando você dá uma outra chance para um projeto e ele te impacta de uma forma que não tinha acontecido na primeira vez.
Não apenas ouvir música, mas fazer música, exige um grande investimento, principalmente emocional, algo que uma inteligência artificial, por exemplo, jamais seria capaz de fazer. Sou muito contra esse tipo de tecnologia, principalmente na arte. Ela inibe o que existe de mais precioso nesse tipo de demonstração, que é a humanidade. Portanto, valorizem o diferente e o underground.
Valorizem ouvir coisas novas, serem surpreendidos, se apaixonarem por algo que nem esperavam. Valorizem abrir a cabeça, a vida é muito mais legal fora da caixinha.

Guioak and the Revolution of the Senses: Between Colours, Guitars and Emotions
If you’ve heard of Guioak, you know he’s not just an artist: he’s an experience. And if you haven’t, get ready for your senses to be completely reprogrammed. We’ve already talked about his second EP, Sinestesia Primária, here at Divergent Beats, and believe us, we’re still struggling to find the words to describe the sheer power of this work.
It’s not just music: it’s a journey through all five senses, a dive into colours, emotions and the human psyche. Guioak shows us that red, blue and yellow aren’t just colours—they are forces guiding us through courage, introspection and freedom. This is an EP that redefines how we can hear, see, feel and even touch music, and he does it with a level of authenticity that is rare in 2025.
To go even further than we already have, we had the chance to interview him. We talked about the entire creative process behind Sinestesia Primária, his artistic vision, the visual and sonic choices, and what it means to transform colours into sound. Here are Guioak’s answers, straight from the heart and mind of one of today’s most compelling artists:
“Sinestesia Primária” immerses the listener in a sensory journey guided by red, blue and yellow. How did these colours become the perfect language for translating your emotions and states of consciousness into music?
Guioak: Above all, I believe music is about feeling. Sometimes we can’t explain what happens or how it happens – it’s like trying to explain to someone why a certain colour is your favourite. Colours are deeply connected to our everyday lives in a way that is both obvious and imperceptible at the same time. They influence us constantly without us even realising it. Bringing the idea of synaesthesia into this project was my way of paying tribute to this kind of sensitivity that lives in the details and has always inspired me to compose, not only consciously, but mainly unconsciously.
In “Perspectivas”, red represents courage, love and desire. To what extent does this intensity come from lived experience, and how much of it is the result of imagination and sonic experimentation?
Guioak: “Perspectivas” is definitely a mix of both experience and imagination – a mixture so intertwined that I couldn’t really say where one begins and the other ends. But I can say that I’ve never actually “jumped from the 18th floor”, as I sing in the lyrics, hahaha. The guitar plays a fundamental role throughout the entire EP. Much of what I brought into the lyrics were responses to the sensations the chords triggered in me, often without rationalising what exactly I was writing. That understanding often came later. Everything I’ve lived, heard and felt – not only during the production of the song and the EP, but throughout my life – I feel has somehow been materialised in this experimentation.
“Pulsões” leads us into inner dialogue, introspection and an encounter with our own self. How would you describe the relationship between your music and the deep exploration of your psyche?
Guioak: I feel that my music is a faithful and direct reflection of my psyche. I’m very honest about what I write, and I see my creative process as a river – a large flow of consciousness of my personal and artistic identity. I’m very grateful to the universe because I don’t usually have to deal with many creative blocks while developing my projects. Ideas come with extreme naturalness, and I’m just a channel through which they materialise. Music is the way I found to do that – where I can truly be honest with myself.
With “Passagens” and the colour yellow, your EP reaches a kind of emotional catharsis and inner freedom. In what ways did the guitar tones and their visceral sound help convey this sense of emancipation?
Guioak: “Passagens” is pure surrender. It’s a harmony I composed on the guitar using more open chords, with open strings. That brings a very strong feeling of freedom and fullness for me. In this track, I also sing the highest notes across the entire EP, and of course I can’t forget the screams in the final chorus. That visceral quality lies in the idea of going to our limit, where nothing holds us back – an urge to dive headfirst into our dreams. I feel I gave a lot of myself in this song, and in my case, I see it as a kind of love letter to music itself.
From the minimalism of your first EP, “Músicas em Preto & Branco”, to the chromatic explosion of “Sinestesia Primária”, we can see a clear evolution. What does this leap mean to you in terms of artistic maturity and musical awareness?
Guioak: I see these two projects as the antithesis of one another, starting with the cover artwork itself. One shows me facing forward, in black and white, blurred; the other is a photo from behind, colourful and sharp. I reinforce the idea of the unconscious here, because this was something completely unintentional – I only realised it when I was about to release the project. Together, these two EPs are the sum of what defines me: from acoustic guitar to electric guitar, from minimalism to explosion. It’s a constant process of self-knowledge. One of my goals with these two works was precisely to mature my sound. More than getting it right, I was fully committed to the idea of “testing myself” to get that answer. I feel ready now.
Synaesthesia runs through the entire EP as a sensory and philosophical phenomenon. How do you hope listeners will experience your music not only with their ears, but with all their senses
Guioak: I designed this project to sound like a true journey – an immersion into the idea of synaesthesia. I really value the act of pressing play on a project and listening to it in one go, from beginning to end. As different as the songs may sound from one another – something reinforced by the inspiration drawn from each colour – I sought to bring a lot of cohesion in the way they interact. Even though “Perspectivas” is red, “Pulsões” is blue and “Passagens” is yellow, I think our senses often deceive us, especially sight, by making us see things that aren’t necessarily true, or that we merely believe to be true. I really enjoy listening to music with my eyes closed; it’s a way of connecting with my inner self and accessing less explored places. It’s a doorway to perceiving things that were always there, but that I hadn’t paid attention to. It’s a doorway to the unconscious. I think it’s an experience any music lover would enjoy.
7. Your collaborations with Joni and Glimpse brought nuances of R&B and electronic music into your alternative aesthetic. How has sonic experimentation become a tool for expressing your inner truth?
It’s always a challenge for me to talk about my artistic references because I consider myself a very open artist when it comes to listening to new and different things. Discovering and appreciating a new album is one of the things I love most in life. Working with Joni and Glimpse on these first two EPs was important for me to feel comfortable creating and understanding who Guioak is, without any kind of barrier. The entire conception process of “Sinestesia Primária” was a big laboratory that helped me understand where I should go with my music and, in the end, express myself fully. Guioak is a great mix of everything that has been built up to this point.
If you could leave a message for the readers of Divergent Beats about your journey, your EP and your artistic vision, what emotional and sensory legacy would you like to share?
Guioak: In such a digitalised era as the one we’re living in, with so much happening at the same time – including incredible music being released constantly – I really value the idea of people not just hearing, but truly listening to and enjoying music. I feel people are increasingly rushed to form opinions. A new project comes out at midnight on Friday and an hour later it’s already been labelled the best or the worst thing in the world. These days, it’s easy to come across a great album and unintentionally let it pass you by. I have a habit of revisiting albums frequently, and it’s wonderful when you give a project another chance and it impacts you in a way it didn’t the first time. Not only listening to music, but making music requires a huge investment – especially emotional – something that artificial intelligence, for example, would never be capable of. I’m strongly against this kind of technology, especially in art. It inhibits the most precious thing in this form of expression, which is humanity. So value what is different and underground. Value listening to new things, being surprised, falling in love with something you never expected. Value opening your mind – life is far more exciting outside the box.
