Esse é o caso de Felipe Sanches, cantor, compositor e guitarrista que vive a música como quem vive a vida: sem freio, sem medo e misturando todas as influências possíveis numa estética própria, elétrica, distorcida e cheia de personalidade.
Depois do EP “A vida è aqui fora” e “Será Que a Noite Vai Deixar de Brilhar?” seu último lançamento, Felipe ressurgiu em um território totalmente diferente com “Só Apronto Coisa Errada” — um single cru, divertido, com alma indie sleaze anos 2000, guitarras indiepunk afiadas e aquela energia despretensiosa que só quem vive o rock por instinto consegue transmitir. É a trilha sonora perfeita para quem está tentando encontrar seu lugar na cidade grande entre discos perdidos, isqueiros esquecidos e a eterna sensação de que estamos todos só… aprontando coisa errada mesmo.

Essa nova fase do artista conversa com tudo o que sempre admiramos no som dele: uma mistura livre de indie, punk, shoegaze, reggae, riffs incendiários, arranjos etéreos e experimentações extremas. Por isso, tivemos o grande privilégio de conversar com Felipe e fazer algumas perguntas sobre o processo criativo, seu universo musical e até mesmo sobre o que podemos esperar de 2026, incluindo o tão desejado álbum e possíveis colaborações futuras.

“Só Apronto Coisa errada” chega com essa vibe indie sleaze 2000s, crua e divertida. O que foi o estalo que te levou para esse universo depois de uma fase mais melancólica?
Felipe: Não era de hoje a vontade de fazer uma música nessa pegada, sabe? Uma melodia de balada e muitos acordes maiores, mas sem perder o peso e a “eletricidade” que já é uma característica consagrada do nosso som. Com “Só Apronto Coisa Errada”, sinto que pela primeira vez consegui traduzir essa proposta de maneira bem assertiva!
A letra fala de tropeços, discos esquecidos, isqueiros perdidos… Qual foi o momento mais “só apronto coisa errada” da sua vida que acabou virando música — ou poderia virar?
Felipe: Eu sempre fui uma pessoa muito impulsiva, o que já me colocou em diversas furadas. A minha vida é uma coleção de desventuras que mesmo em seus momentos mais calmos, algo louco acontece, mais cedo ou mais tarde.
A letra de “Só Apronto Coisa Errada” é quase que uma colagem dessa rock n roll life, cada fragmento de cada verso faz referência à algum rolê e/ou situação específica que eu já passei/vivenciei. Aliás, creio que essa foi a primeira vez que fiz esse experimento – de juntar várias histórias que se encaixavam em um mesmo contexto em uma mesma letra.
Você transita por muitas sonoridades: indie, punk, shoegaze, reggae, experimental… Quando você está criando, o que define a direção? A intuição, o caos ou a cidade?
Felipe: Eu sou uma pessoa que escuta música literalmente o dia inteiro. Dos mais diversos estilos e gêneros, desde novos lançamentos até discos malucos que foram esquecidos pela história.
Geralmente são três cenários:
1 – Eu estou com vontade de explorar alguma proposta – já com uma ideia e referência na cabeça. Tudo muito bem definido.
2 – Eu sinto que no contexto de uma obra completa como um EP ou Álbum, alguma coisa muito específica está faltando, para deixar aquele trabalho mais rico. Aí eu tento me desdobrar ao máximo para chegar com essa composição mais “estratégica”.
3 – Em algum pico de inspiração, intuitivamente uma nova composição vem. Esse último caso é na maioria das vezes o mais raro de acontecer.
Eu acho que o mais importante é não parar de consumir boas referências, e não estagnar ouvindo a mesma coisa pra sempre, assim o seu leque de possibilidades fica cada vez maior. É sempre muito bom ouvir coisas novas.
Seu som sempre parece carregar São Paulo como um personagem. O que é que só a noite paulistana consegue te dar musicalmente?
Felipe: São Paulo pra mim é quase que um estilo de vida. Eu cheguei aqui em 2022, vindo de Minas Gerais para trabalhar, estudar e fazer música – basicamente tudo que eu não conseguia fazer por lá. Minha vida no interior era uma eterna dosagem de expectativas – o que convenhamos, não combina muito com essa libertinagem toda que eu sempre abordo nas minhas composições. Eu sabia que por lá eu não iria conseguir realizar nem 10% das coisas que tinha vontade. Meu objetivo é realmente ser intenso, chegar o mais longe que conseguir de maneira autêntica – levando esse som nosso até onde eu puder!
“Só Apronto Coisa Errada” reflete muito nessa questão de ser um cara vindo do meio do nada, perdido na capital paulista, correndo atrás dos seus sonhos. Eu era uma pessoa muito ingênua quando cheguei aqui. Com toda certeza essa cidade me moldou, e continua me moldando, mesmo que aos trancos e barrancos.
No seu single anterior, “Será Que a Noite Vai Deixar de Brilhar”, você fala desse medo de não sermos mais tão jovens. Como esse sentimento atravessa o Felipe artista e o Felipe pessoa?
Felipe: Minhas composições são todas brutalmente honestas. Eu parto do princípio que para você realmente conseguir defender a sua arte com unhas e dentes, você precisa realizar um trabalho que comunique com a sua verdade. Se não, no longo prazo, fica insustentável.
O single passado, “ Será Que a Noite Vai Deixar de Brilhar?” é quase que uma carta aberta para à incerteza. Nessa letra, eu canalizei todas as inseguranças que passavam pela minha cabeça. Eu penso que essa música em questão, o maior medo abordado, que é traduzido pelo nome da mesma, é o sentimento das coisas pararem de fazer sentido com o passar do tempo. Isso falando tanto do aspecto musical quanto do aspecto pessoal – eu não sou muito bom em separar os dois kkkkkkk.
Mas, a cada dia que passa, eu tenho a certeza que a noite não deixará de brilhar, as coisas podem mudar, mas nunca deixarão de brilhar. Talvez seja esse mood otimista que o pós lançamento do single passado me deixou, que inspirou a bem humorada “Só Apronto Coisa Errada” – que é realmente uma direção oposta se comparada com o primeiro lançamento deste ano.
Uma pergunta Divergent Beats: qual é o “acorde proibido” ou o sentimento que você está tentando capturar agora e que ainda não conseguiu transformar em música?
Felipe: Pra ser bem sincero, sinto que todo esse lance de fazer música é uma eterna busca pelo tal “acorde proibido”, ou pela “vibe perfeita”. kkkkkk. Para mim é quase que algo mágico/sobrenatural o ato de transformar pensamentos e sentimentos abstratos em música. É a materialização de algo íntimo que só existia na sua cabeça. E uma das habilidades que eu mais admiro em um artista é justamente conseguir fazer isso de maneira autêntica e que comunique com quem está ouvindo. Já lancei uma ou outra música que o produto final não ficou exatamente como eu estava esperando, mas com “Só Apronto Coisa Errada”, eu estou com o sentimento de dever cumprido. Eu juro que ria de orelha a orelha quando recebi a mix final dessa música!
E para fechar: o que podemos esperar do Felipe Sanches para 2026? Mais garage vibes, mais caos, mais juventude à beira do colapso — ou uma nova rota totalmente inesperada?
Felipe: Eu acho que com os EPs de 2023 e 2024 e com estes dois singles de 2025, deu pra perceber bem o que funciona e o que não funciona, além de refinar cada vez mais a minha escrita em Português. Para o começo de 2026 tenho alguns feats. planejados com artistas incríveis! A intenção é também começar a mexer no meu primeiro álbum! Eu imagino que à princípio ele será um trabalho onde eu irei canalizar toda essa energia, estilo e identidade que vocês já conhecem, mas acho que só o tempo irá dizer!

Every time we think we’ve heard it all, an artist appears who flips the table, laughs at the urban mess of life, and delivers a single that stays in your head for days. That’s exactly the case with Felipe Sanches, a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who lives music the same way he lives life: untamed, fearless, and blending every influence possible into a sound that’s electric, distorted, and unmistakably his.
After EP “A vida è aqui fora” and “Será Que a Noite Vai Deixar de Brilhar?” his last release, Felipe returned in a completely new territory with “Só Apronto Coisa Errada” — a raw, humorous, indie sleaze–inspired single filled with sharp indiepunk guitars and that effortless early-2000s energy only someone who lives rock by instinct can truly carry. It’s the perfect soundtrack for anyone trying to find their place in the big city between lost records, missing lighters and the natural chaos of being young, messy and alive.
What makes this phase even more exciting is how it still echoes everything we’ve always admired in Felipe’s work: a free-flowing blend of indie, punk, shoegaze, reggae, blazing riffs, ethereal arrangements and bold experimentation. He’s that rare kind of artist who turns everything he’s lived and heard into identity.
Here at Divergent Beats, we were instantly drawn to the single — and, of course, to the world Felipe creates around it: a narrative about youth, mistakes, instinct, and the strange beauty of not having it all figured out. So we had the great privilege of speaking with Felipe and asking him a few questions about his creative process, this new era, and what we can expect from 2026, including the much-hoped-for album and potential collaborations.

“Só Apronto Coisa Errada” arrives with this raw, fun 2000s indie-sleaze vibe. What was the spark that pulled you into that universe after a more melancholic phase?
Felipe: I’ve wanted to make a track in this vein for quite a while, you know? A sort of ballad-like melody with lots of major chords, but without losing that weight and “electricity” that’s already such a defining trait of our sound. With “Só Apronto Coisa Errada”, I feel that for the first time I managed to translate that idea in a really assertive way!
The lyrics talk about stumbles, forgotten records, lost lighters… What’s the most “só apronto coisa errada” moment of your life that ended up becoming a song — or could become one?
Felipe: I’ve always been a very impulsive person, and that’s led me into all sorts of trouble. My life is a collection of mishaps, and even in its calmest moments, something mad is bound to happen sooner or later.
The lyrics of “Só Apronto Coisa Errada” are almost a collage of this rock ’n’ roll life — every fragment of every verse references some night out or specific situation I’ve lived through. In fact, I think this was the first time I tried this experiment: piecing together different stories that fit into the same context, all in one lyric.
You move through so many sounds: indie, punk, shoegaze, reggae, experimental… When you’re creating, what sets the direction? Intuition, chaos, or the city?
Felipe: I’m someone who literally listens to music all day long. Every kind of style and genre, from brand-new releases to the weirdest records forgotten by history.
Usually, there are three scenarios:
1 – I’m in the mood to explore a particular idea — I already have a concept and references in mind. Everything very clear.
2 – I feel that, within the context of a full project like an EP or album, something very specific is missing to make the work richer. So I do my best to come up with a more “strategic” composition.
3 – In some peak of inspiration, a new composition simply appears. This last case is usually the rarest.
I think the most important thing is to never stop consuming good references and never stagnate by listening to the same things forever — that way your range of possibilities keeps growing. It’s always great to listen to new stuff.
Your sound always seems to carry São Paulo as a sort of character. What is it that only the São Paulo nightlife can give you musically?
Felipe: São Paulo, for me, is almost a lifestyle. I arrived here in 2022, coming from Minas Gerais to work, study, and make music — basically everything I couldn’t manage to do there. My life in the countryside was an endless rationing of expectations — which, let’s be honest, doesn’t really match this sense of libertinism I always bring into my songs. I knew I wouldn’t manage to accomplish even 10% of what I wanted to if I stayed there. My goal is to be intense, to go as far as I can in an authentic way — taking our sound as far as possible!
“Só Apronto Coisa Errada” reflects a lot on the idea of being a guy who came from the middle of nowhere, lost in the São Paulo capital, chasing his dreams. I was very naïve when I arrived. This city definitely shaped me, and continues to shape me, even if not always gently.
In your previous single, “Será Que a Noite Vai Deixar de Brilhar”, you talk about the fear of no longer being so young. How does that feeling affect Felipe the artist and Felipe the person?
Felipe: My songs are all brutally honest. I always start from the idea that if you really want to defend your art tooth and nail, you need to create something that communicates your truth. Otherwise, in the long run, it becomes unsustainable.
The last single, “Será Que a Noite Vai Deixar de Brilhar?”, is basically an open letter to uncertainty. In that lyric, I channelled all the insecurities running through my mind. I think the greatest fear in that song — the one expressed through its title — is the feeling that, with time, things might stop making sense. That applies both musically and personally — I’m terrible at separating the two hahahaha.
But with each passing day, I’m more convinced that the night won’t stop shining. Things may change, but they’ll never stop shining. Maybe it’s this optimistic mood that the previous single left me with that inspired the playful “Só Apronto Coisa Errada” — which is honestly the complete opposite direction compared to that first release of the year.
A Divergent Beats question: what’s the “forbidden chord” or feeling you’re trying to capture right now but still haven’t managed to turn into music?
Felipe: To be honest, I feel like this whole music-making thing is an endless quest for the so-called “forbidden chord” or the “perfect vibe”, hahaha.
For me, the act of turning abstract thoughts and feelings into music is almost magical or supernatural. It’s the materialisation of something intimate that existed only in your head.
And one of the skills I most admire in an artist is the ability to do that authentically and in a way that communicates with the listener. I’ve released a song or two where the final result wasn’t exactly what I expected, but with “Só Apronto Coisa Errada”, I feel a real sense of mission accomplished. I swear I was grinning from ear to ear when I received the final mix!
To wrap up: what can we expect from Felipe Sanches in 2026? More garage vibes, more chaos, more youth on the verge of collapse — or a totally unexpected new route?
Felipe: I think that with the EPs from 2023 and 2024 and these two singles from 2025, it’s become much clearer what works and what doesn’t, and I’ve managed to keep refining my writing in Portuguese. At the start of 2026, I’ve got a few collabs planned with amazing artists! I also intend to start working on my first album. I imagine, at first, it will be a project where I’ll channel all the energy, style, and identity you already know — but I suppose only time will tell!
