Tem bandas que chegam devagar, mas quando chegam, mudam tudo ao redor. É esse o caso da Somacores, o duo formado pelos irmãos Luke e Pedro de Aguiar, direto de Rio das Ostras, que desde 2024 vêm construindo um universo sonoro próprio — vulnerável, intenso e cheio de identidade.
Misturando indie rock dos anos 2000, guitarras firmes, bateria pulsante e aquele ar de sinceridade que só quem vive intensamente consegue colocar na música, eles lançaram no 13 de novembro o EP “não aprendi a jogar” — um trabalho de quatro faixas que fala sobre crescer, sentir demais e não saber lidar com as regras invisíveis da vida adulta.
Do primeiro play, a gente já percebe: que EP gostoso!
Escutamos algumas vezes, deixamos decantar, e cada audição abriu novas camadas. É um EP super indie, daquele tipo que te teletransporta direto para 2010–2011, mas com uma estética super atual, com personalidade, com força. As letras são maravilhosas, a produção é limpa e emocional, e existe uma honestidade muito bonita em como os irmãos criam juntos.
E talvez seja esse o ponto x da questão: o fato de serem irmãos dá uma magia a mais. Tem uma conexão ali que a gente sente — nos arranjos, nas escolhas de timbre, nos detalhes. É raro encontrar um projeto tão novo com uma identidade tão sólida.

Two Brothers, One Truth: The Most Heartfelt Indie EP in Brazil This Year
Some bands arrive quietly — but once they do, they shift the atmosphere around them.
That’s exactly what happens with Somacores, the Brazilian duo created by brothers Luke and Pedro de Aguiar, straight from Rio das Ostras. Since 2024, the pair have been building their own sonic world: vulnerable, intense and unmistakably theirs.
Blending early-2010s indie rock, sharp guitars, driving drums and a raw sincerity that only comes from living deeply, they released on 13 November their EP “não aprendi a jogar” — a four-track project about growing up, feeling too much and not quite knowing how to “play” life’s invisible rules.
From the very first listen one thing is clear: what a delicious EP!
We listened to it several times, let it settle, and each play revealed something new. It’s super indie, nostalgic in the best way — sending you straight back to 2010–2011 — yet still incredibly fresh and current. The lyrics are beautiful, the production is crisp and emotional, and there’s a stunning honesty in how the two brothers create together.
And yes — the fact that they’re brothers adds its own special magic.
You can hear the connection: in the arrangements, in the textures, in the small choices. It’s rare to find such a young project with such a strong identity.

it’s something you join, feel and savour.
