Essa é a Catharsis, formada por Lorena Porto (baixo e voz), Mariana Magalhães (bateria) e Sarah Fernandes (guitarra). Desde 2020, elas vêm moldando um projeto que mistura indie pop, MPB e pop rock, explorando livremente cada instrumento, cada melodia e cada emoção.
O projeto ganhou forma real em 2024, com as gravações do primeiro EP, e em agosto a banda lançou seu single de estreia, Fazer Valer, uma mistura envolvente de pop com sopros que já mostrava o talento singular do trio. Mas agora, no dia 30 de setembro, elas nos entregam “Aquele Jeito”, um single que revela uma nova faceta da banda e nos prepara para o conceito geral do futuro EP.
Ao ouvir Aquele Jeito, fomos imediatamente transportados para um mundo quase paralelo. A voz, a sonoridade, a melodia escolhida e a inclusão do saxofone fizeram nosso coração explodir de amor. É uma música verdadeiramente maravilhosa, construída com perfeição e sentimento. O que mais nos encanta é ver uma banda de três jovens mulheres brasileiras capaz de impactar tão profundamente com uma canção.

Catharsis releases “Aquele Jeito” and takes us to another world

This is Catharsis, made up of Lorena Porto (bass and vocals), Mariana Magalhães (drums) and Sarah Fernandes (guitar). Since 2020, they have been shaping a project that blends indie pop, MPB, and pop rock, freely exploring every instrument, melody, and emotion.
The project really took shape in 2024 with the recordings of their first EP, and in August the band released their debut single, Fazer Valer, a captivating mix of pop with brass that already showcased the trio’s unique talent. But now, on 30 September, they deliver “Aquele Jeito”, a single revealing a new facet of the band and preparing the audience for the overall concept of their upcoming EP.
Listening to Aquele Jeito, we were instantly transported to an almost parallel world. The vocals, the sound, the chosen melody, and the inclusion of the saxophone made our hearts explode with love. It’s a truly magnificent song, perfectly crafted and full of feeling. What we love most is seeing a band of three young Brazilian women capable of making such a deep impact with one song.
