Divergent Beats

Estávamos esperando por este álbum há quase um ano. Jade Thirlwall, ex-Little Mix, finalmente lançou seu debut solo, That’s Showbiz Baby!, e a expectativa era enorme. O primeiro single, Angel of My Dreams, nos conquistou imediatamente, assim como todos os outros cinco singles que vieram antes do álbum — totalizando seis videoclipes antes do lançamento oficial.

O álbum é, de fato, super pop, agradável e escutável, mas também mostra diferentes maneiras de fazer música. Parece que em alguns momentos Jade decidiu “colocar tudo dentro”, e isso dá ao disco uma sensação variada — às vezes intensa, às vezes mais suave. É exatamente o que ela queria fazer, e nós apoiamos totalmente essa liberdade criativa.

Adoramos Jade, não só como artista, mas como pessoa. Ela continua sendo uma pop star incrível, divertida, autêntica e que passa mensagens positivas com consistência. Mas se tivermos que dar uma nota para That’s Showbiz Baby!, damos 3,5 estrelas. Os singles são fantásticos, cheios de energia e personalidade. O restante do álbum, exceto por duas faixas que se destacam — Glitch e Natural Disaster — é um pouco mais morno.

No final, o álbum é uma experiência divertida e diversificada. Jade entrega o pop que conhecemos e amamos, mas também experimenta, e isso é digno de aplausos.

Jade and That’s Showbiz Baby! — the pop we’ve been waiting for, and more

We’ve been waiting for this album for almost a year. Jade Thirlwall, former Little Mix member, finally released her solo debut, That’s Showbiz Baby!, and expectations were sky-high. The first single, Angel of My Dreams, won us over immediately, as did the other five singles released before the album — totaling six music videos ahead of the official release.

The album is, indeed, super pop, enjoyable and easy to listen to, but it also shows different ways of making music. At times, it feels like Jade decided to “throw everything in,” giving the record a varied feel — sometimes intense, sometimes softer. And that’s exactly what she wanted to do, and we fully support that creative freedom.

We love Jade, not just as an artist but as a person. She remains an incredible pop star, fun, authentic, and consistently spreading positive messages. But if we had to rate That’s Showbiz Baby!, we’d give it 3.5 stars. The singles are fantastic, full of energy and personality. The rest of the album, except for two standout tracks — Glitch and Natural Disaster — feels a bit more mellow.

In the end, the album is a fun and diverse experience. Jade delivers the pop we know and love, but also experiments, and that deserves applause.
