After shaking up 2022 with their wildly infectious debut, Wet Leg are back—and they’re coming in swinging. The Isle of Wight indie-rock duo has just dropped their new single, Catch These Fists, along with the announcement of their sophomore album, Moisturizer, set to release on July 11. And if that wasn’t enough, they’re gearing up for a massive world tour that promises to bring their signature blend of cheeky irreverence and mosh-pit energy to stages across the globe.
The Return of Wet Leg: Same Attitude, More Punch
Catch These Fists is peak Wet Leg—witty, punchy, and packed with that post-punk playfulness that made their debut album an instant classic. Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers still have that magic formula: infectious hooks, razor-sharp humor, and the kind of shrug-it-off attitude that makes every track feel like an inside joke you desperately want to be part of.
And let’s talk about the album. Moisturizer—because, of course, they’d call it that—features 12 brand-new tracks, all produced by Dan Carey, the mastermind behind their first album’s effortlessly cool sound. Speaking about the project in the press material the duo said, ““We focussed on: Is this going to be fun to play live? It was very natural that we would write the second record together.”
A Single That Packs a Punch
The first taste of Moisturizer, Catch These Fists, is a return to Wet Leg’s riotous best. It’s bouncy, bratty, and packed with shoulder-shrug energy—imagine a song built for both a chaotic indie disco and an underground punk gig. Recorded on their home turf of the Isle of Wight, the music video stays true to the band’s aesthetic: weird, wonderful, and effortlessly cool.
With Moisturizer set to be one of 2025’s biggest indie releases, the anticipation is real. Wet Leg’s chaotic, tongue-in-cheek charm is exactly what we need right now, and we can’t wait to dive headfirst into the full album. Until then, we’ll have Catch These Fists on repeat—see you in the pit.
