Is this the next big music hit for 2025? The anticipation is palpable with the release of Haim’s ‘Relationships’, bringing the summer vibes early.
Five years after their Grammy-nominated album Women in Music Part III, the Los Angeles Trio is back with this captivating single and its accompanying video. It’s a journey through the complexities of relationships that we’ve all been waiting for.
In their heartfelt Instagram post, the Haim sisters revealed the personal journey behind ‘Relationships’. They shared, ‘This one took us 7 damn years to crack, but we’re so stoked it’s finally here!!’ and added, ‘Single girl summer, let’s go.’ It’s a testament to their dedication and growth, making us feel connected to their music on a deeper level.

Produced by Danielle Haim and Rostam, the new single marks a return to the polished, genre-blending style that first won over Haim’s fans.
The classical Haim is the best of all.
She has since parted ways with her long-term partner and frequent Haim collaborator, Ariel Rechtshaid, and “Relationships” seems to reflect that sense of emotional uncertainty.
With single cover art seemingly drawing inspiration from Nicole Kidman’s infamous paparazzi photo (though it’s never directly acknowledged), the seemingly superficial “Relationships” still manages to capture the essence of the issues plaguing contemporary relationships: “I hear a voice in my head, and it keeps asking, ‘Why am I in this relationship?’”
“Relationships” arrives with a video directed by Camille Summers-Valli.
